The following principles are fundamental to the mission of Renegades FC. We will provide an environment suitable for every player, from the least experienced recreational player to the most experienced college bound player. We are fundamentally rooted in our local community, here to serve the greater Los Angeles County. We pursue the building of character as a driving objective in all that we do, in every practice and in every competition. We demand that all our players and our coaches embody character: the will to compete, the discipline to improve, the commitment to put team before self, and winning and losing with honor and respect.
We are an achievement focused organization. Both in the office and on the field, we value both effort and results. We are our own toughest critics, constantly looking to compete well at every level, to develop superior soccer players, to develop outstanding teams, to grow the depth and knowledge of our coaches, and to instill a love of the game in our players.
Above all, we believe that participation in the game of soccer can produce joy and fulfillment that may be found in few other places. We embrace the way the game builds strong and healthy bodies, develops the minds of young players, and nurtures emotional well being. We believe that the game of soccer can foster connection, pride and growth in individual players, with teams and throughout the larger community.
We are making the commitment to our community, that we will help empower our athletes to become superior soccer players. With teams that service all age groups and all levels of play, we enable our players to compete at their highest potential, from their first soccer experience, throughout the rest of their lives. Beyond the soccer skills themselves though, Renegades FC strives to instill traits in players that are useful long after the last whistle blows: character, sportsmanship, discipline, fitness and achievement.
Whether you’re a 7-year-old child or a young adult, you’ll count your experiences with Renegades FC as an indelible part of your life. And, we believe you’ll acquire a love of the game, for all the right reasons that will last your lifetime.

Q: What is the commitment that’s expected to play competitive soccer?
A: Season is a 1 year commitment consisting of Fall & Spring Seasons. The annual commitment can be paid via our subscription choices by clicking HERE
Playing on a competitive soccer team requires a high level of commitment from both players and families. Players benefit from intensive training in the technical, tactical, mental, and fitness components of the game.
Players are expected to attend all training's and games during the season. Most Fall teams typically finish their “league” seasons in late November. Teams also compete in State or National Cup, these tournaments typically finish in late January/early February depending on age group and competitive level. These teams will also generally play a spring season from February thru early June. Teams will compete in generally 3-5 tournaments during the summer months which helps coaches and players develop in preparation for the fall league season.
Q: Can a player play with a team that is older than his or her age group?
A: In most cases, RFC will strive to have players play on an age pure team. Age pure means that all the players will be the same age within the cutoff dates of each age group. With the introduction of US Soccer’s age group guidelines, this is determined based on the year the player was born. These decisions are typically based upon a player’s demonstrated ability to contribute as a “top – half” player on the older team and approval by the club’s director of coaching. There may, however, be some exceptions to these guidelines. It should be noted that players that come from a school together may be in different age groups as it is based upon an age cut-off date and not by grade.
Q: How many players will be selected for each team?
A: There will typically be about 10-12 players on a roster for younger teams (between the ages of 7 & 11), while older’s (ages 12+) will have rosters of 14-17 players.
Q: When will players find out if they have made a team?
A: RFC will do what it can to expedite the notification process, but it does take time. After tryouts finish, coaches work quickly to secure commitments from players chosen during tryouts. Player’s invited to join one of our teams will receive an email along with a phone call typically within a week of trying out. (2-3 training sessions) Coaches will then submit their rosters to the club for processing.
Q: What happens if a player doesn’t make a team?
A: RFC Coaches will email players who do not make teams to inform them.
Q: Where can I find more information?
A: If you have any questions about Renegades FC or any of our programs – please feel free to email us through our contact tab.
